We went to Rum Runners for the All you can eat BBQ night for my husband. Since I don't eat meat, they offered me a pizza from the regular menu, which was much appreciated. The service was great, but the ambiance, not so much. The local band was struggling, and the crowd was too loud. My dessert was absolutely outstanding though (I had the mango tart), and the magnificent sunset made up for the rest. But if you are looking for a memorable meal and amazing food, overall, that is not the place. It's quite expensive too.

Five stars all across the board. The service was great and the food came out quite quick. Super friendly and helpful servers as well. It's definitely on more of the pricey side but the food was great and the area where you eat is also pretty amazing. Super good experience, would go back for sure.

I had the pleasure of dining at Rum Runners and I can't say enough good things about it. That evening, I had the Daily Catch – Wahoo was on the menu. The food was absolutely finger-licking good. Every bite was a delight, and the fish was perfectly cooked.The service was top-notch. Our waiter seemed to anticipate our every wish and always had a friendly remark ready. It was impressive how attentive and friendly the staff was. What stood out even more was the special attention given to our son, who is under a year old. This thoughtful gesture really touched us and showcased how family-friendly the restaurant is.The ambiance is nearly unbeatable. Our table was right by the sea, and in the evening, when the underwater lights came on, large tarpons from the deeper waters swam close to the shore. It was a mesmerizing sight to see these majestic fish up close – elsewhere, you'd pay an entrance fee for such an experience!All in all, our evening at Rum Runners was a highlight of our stay on Bonaire. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and look forward to our next visit!

Our experience at Rum Runners was nothing short of spectacular, especially during their Buffet Barbecue Night. Quincy, our server, truly made our evening unforgettable with his incredible humor and professionalism. He was attentive, friendly, and really great at his job, making sure everything was just right. The barbecue buffet itself was fantastic, with a variety of perfectly grilled meats and delicious sides that left us more than satisfied. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for both locals and visitors. Thanks to Quincy and the entire team at Rum Runners for an amazing dining experience in Bonaire. I can’t recommend this place enough. 5 Stars to Quincy ??

Rum Runners restaurant and bar is in Captain Don's Habitat Bonaire. Excellent food and ocean front atmosphere. The service tends to be slow. That is only an issue when having lunch between the 11:00 and 14:00 dives. Drinks are very good and all staff are friendly.

We loved Rum Runners. Catch of the day was good size with balanced flavors. Service was great. Liquor prices reasonable and fantastic ocean view. Would have loved it more if bread came with the meal.

Awesome location - right on the water where you could see tarpon and night divers. Waited at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. Once we were seated - not so much. Took a while to get attention, drinks or even water. Food was good.

Super spot on the water with Tarpons swimming just below. We did not have a reservation but they cleaned up a table and we had a delicious meal. Loved the fact that there were a lot of locals working in the restaurant.

Really great views, could go for lunch or dinner. Definitely a casual-nice place. You see people dressed up, or fresh off diving. I really enjoyed this aspect because a lot of place can be one or the other.

Captain Don's Habitat is where it all started for me. I met Captaon Don Steward in 1975. Lots of memories. While non of the original buildings are there anymore, it kept its charm. The service is good and friendly. The hotel rooms are clean, nice and very comfortable. I kook forward to my next visit. I highly recommend this resort.

We had dinner at this restaurant twice in a week. The setting is beautiful, right on the water for the sunset. Our server TT was most accommodating, helpful and courteous. One of us was celiac and when asked about calamari he suggested he would ask the chef to pan-fry it to make it gluten free. It was delicious. The price was reasonable. The four of us enjoyed a full dinner with two drinks for about US$150.

Ate lunch here 2 days in a row because the food was so good we all wanted to try another dish after that first visit. The staff was amazing....and nothing can beat the view.

I must have 100 photos of the sunset at rumrunners. The bar is great. I love the pizza - and leftovers for breakfast. The restaurant has great food. Service is hit or miss but who cares when there are tarpon to watch? My only real complaint is that the resort completely blocks that wonderful breeze so it can get very muggy and buggy.

Lovely location overlooking the water. Great service! Melt in your mouth baby back ribs, they were wonderful. Excellent Caesar salad. Highly recommend! We have eaten in four restaurants while in Bonaire and this my best meal. Parking across the street.

Just dined with a group of 6 - we all had fabulous meals - thin crust pizza was amazing. Fresh nice prepared ingredients. Chicken tender and juicy! Creative cocktails. Best dining experience we have had all week in Bonaire. Not sure why this restaurant is only 4.1 - deserves to be much higher. Thank you for great evening!

Went here with family at the end of a warm workday in paradise.We were greeted promptly upon arrival and were escorted to our reserved seaside table by one of the friendly waitresses. We ordered some bread as a starter and I ordered the baby back ribs as mains. Wow, those were really some tender, juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs! And it was a large portion as well.The experience even got enhanced by a great sunset display in the distance.We all enjoyed our dinner and left the site very satisfied. Recommended!

We have eaten at Rum Runners twice during out stay on Bonaire. Once in the seaside dining room (fabulous table for two by the sea) and once in the bar. Boht times the food has been very good, the service excellent and the ambiance of the place wonderful. The seaside table was quiet and romantic; the bar was lively and full of great island music. Highly recommend.

Quite the collection of cocktails! Especially if you like Gin. Good vibe, bar is lovely, dining room is better for a quiet meal. Theres a lot of room for the quality of flavors in their dishes. We ordered the calamari which was as expected. The “Main Bowl” served with fresh fish, rice, and kimchi was okay. High expectations for this dish weren’t met, but I appreciate the thought they put into it.

Staying at Buddy Dive, we stopped by one night for dinner. The restaurant has outdoor seating with skimpy awnings. For a solid half hour we were blinded by the setting sun.Also it took a while for drinks to make the table. But drinks were accompanied with some fantastic bread and butter.For dinner I had a deconstructed rice bowl with tuna, salmon, avocado, etc. I dont recall it's name, though Im attaching a picture.Overall I was pleased with the dinner.

Dinner was good, but not special. Staff was friendly, but a bit slow.The view is spectaculair. If possible reserve a spot during sunset and a sea side table.

Definitely room for improvement. Staff are very polite, but slow to serve. The food could take anywhere between 20 minutes to sometimes an hour depending on the time of day.

This is a lovely place to sit, drink/eat and enjoy the ocean view. Beautiful sunset view from the restaurant. Klein Bonaire is clearly visible from here.

3 stars for the view. The drinks took quiet long to arrive since they apparently had too many cocktail orders. After a long wait, it arrived but even with so much practice, it was a glass of pure alcohol. The pizza similar, saw many ordering it so I had high expectation and saw a pizza oven, but the cheese used and the crust is something Dr. Oetker could compete with. The fajitas and wine were good though and as mentioned, the location is a beauty!

Very hit or miss. We visited multiple times during our trip, and half the time the service was fantastic, the other half of the time it was not. Yesterday for lunch we stopped in around 2pm and waited 26 minutes for a server to take our order, and that was only after another employee saw us and alerted her. Food was great though every time except for yesterday. Great location to watch the tarpon swim.

One of the best places to enjoy a beautiful sunset over Klein bonaire. A very chilled spot with good food and in my opinion the best cocktails of bonaire. Make sure you check out the spiced watermelon cocktail and do a refreshing dive from the pier. Staff is friendly and fast.

Update Dec 2021: Dropped 2 stars due to higher prices and lower quality of food preparation. The catch of the day was barracuda. Regretfully, the barracuda fillets were not much larger than sardines and were overcooked to being tough and dry.2019 review: Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices and right on the Caribbean Sea! Outdoor seating with large canopy covers for shade and keeping off rain. Have been a regular for years.

We made reservations a couple of months ago and they where all ready for us! We where celebrating my son and daughter in laws anniversary and they really made it special!!!Then the menu was a all u can eat w lots of meat and three sauces at the end and oh my!!! Sooo yummy!!!TIP-- It was quite at 6 when we arrived but by 8 when we left u would have had to have reservations.

4 stars for the location. Nice at the water, in the evening with huge tarpons swimming nearby. We heard they have the best Italian style pizza on the island, but I hope we heard wrong. Not that good.

The pizza oven is amazing! But the lunch/dinner menu is too limited. I would like to see chicken tenders, soup of the day, or a chicken sandwich on the menu for simple eaters. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Nice place. The ambience is nice. It has bar at one side and restaurant at the other. Reservation is recommended otherwise you might not find a spot. If you are not guests of Captain Dons Habitat you need to park outside on the street, there is a security so no worries, you then walk to the place. They server great Cucumber Mojito and a lot of other signature drinks and cocktails. Food is delicious.. Nice place for a good night out

I went for fathersday. Once a month they have special 3 course menu. The rest of the month you can enjoy food from the cart. The place is nice and the view is relaxing. The service is great.

We weren't drinking but the bartender was pouring some pretty good looking drinks. We had some food which was actually pretty darn good. Pizza and Sticky Chicks. Those are chicken skewers. The portions size was a little small but the food and presentation were very good. Pizza is "cracker" crust. We never ran out of water and he was quick to ask if we needed another coke.

Rum runners great place to get pizza I always get the barbecue chicken pizza it’s Really good the crust is on the thin side that’s that’s how the pizza crust is so one person can eat a whole pizza and you wouldn’t be that full. Great place to hang out with friends or family have some pizza and some drinks to staff is great awesome bartenders make make good cocktails.

We were looking for a place to have lunch while we were exploring Bonaire and we saw their sign while cruising in our golf carts. Glad we stopped here. We couldn't have asked for a better place for lunch. The food we ordered was fabulous. Nothing over the top, just great tasting and a decent proportion. One thing to add is the views of the ocean here are perfect. Such a peaceful place to eat and enjoy a drink with friends. Good amount of normal car parking but might be a bit busier on the weekend. Don't bypass this place.

We live on Bonaire and Rum Runners is our go-to restaurant for ourselves and when we have visitors. We tell ourselves whenever we want to remember why we moved here, we eat at Rum Runners. It's directly on the ocean and every table has an ocean view.The food is terrific. Wide variety of dishes, and we think they do the best burgers on the island. You can also get fajitas, great pizza, steaks, chicken, fish and pasta. Prices are reasonable and the staff is terrific. Most of them have been there for years. We're there every Wednesday night, a standing date with our friends.They also do buffet nights, and Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. There is a separate bar there and their gift shop stays open late. We think they have the best souvenirs on the island and frequently wander in there after dinner.During high season it's smart to make a reservation for dinner. At lunch you can just walk in.

Pizza Temple 11:30am – 10:00pm every day.
Pizza is always a good idea! Especially our thin crust pizza from our open pizza temple kitchen. Our recipes bring a touch of fresh flavours. Eat your pizza in our restaurant or order it for take out. Authentic Italian thin crust pizza baked to perfection in a traditional stone oven. Choose from a wide assortment of toppings, create your own or try one of the chef’s creation. Great for that in between dive craving or take away for the perfect mid-night snack.

One of us was celiac and when asked about calamari he suggested he would ask the chef to pan-fry it to make it gluten free. It was delicious. The price was reasonable. The four of us enjoyed a full dinner with two drinks for about US$150.

I must have 100 photos of the sunset at rumrunners. The bar is great. I love the pizza - and leftovers for breakfast. The restaurant has great food. Service is hit or miss but who cares when there are tarpon to watch? My only real complaint is that the resort completely blocks that wonderful breeze so it can get very muggy and buggy.

Lovely location overlooking the water. Great service! Melt in your mouth baby back ribs, they were wonderful. Excellent Caesar salad. Highly recommend! We have eaten in four restaurants while in Bonaire and this my best meal. Parking across the street.

Just dined with a group of 6 - we all had fabulous meals - thin crust pizza was amazing. Fresh nice prepared ingredients. Chicken tender and juicy! Creative cocktails. Best dining experience we have had all week in Bonaire. Not sure why this restaurant is only 4.1 - deserves to be much higher. Thank you for great evening!

Went here with family at the end of a warm workday in paradise.We were greeted promptly upon arrival and were escorted to our reserved seaside table by one of the friendly waitresses. We ordered some bread as a starter and I ordered the baby back ribs as mains. Wow, those were really some tender, juicy, fall-off-the-bone ribs! And it was a large portion as well.The experience even got enhanced by a great sunset display in the distance.We all enjoyed our dinner and left the site very satisfied. Recommended!

We have eaten at Rum Runners twice during out stay on Bonaire. Once in the seaside dining room (fabulous table for two by the sea) and once in the bar. Boht times the food has been very good, the service excellent and the ambiance of the place wonderful. The seaside table was quiet and romantic; the bar was lively and full of great island music. Highly recommend.

Quite the collection of cocktails! Especially if you like Gin. Good vibe, bar is lovely, dining room is better for a quiet meal. Theres a lot of room for the quality of flavors in their dishes. We ordered the calamari which was as expected. The “Main Bowl” served with fresh fish, rice, and kimchi was okay. High expectations for this dish weren’t met, but I appreciate the thought they put into it.

Staying at Buddy Dive, we stopped by one night for dinner. The restaurant has outdoor seating with skimpy awnings. For a solid half hour we were blinded by the setting sun.Also it took a while for drinks to make the table. But drinks were accompanied with some fantastic bread and butter.For dinner I had a deconstructed rice bowl with tuna, salmon, avocado, etc. I dont recall it's name, though Im attaching a picture.Overall I was pleased with the dinner.

Dinner was good, but not special. Staff was friendly, but a bit slow.The view is spectaculair. If possible reserve a spot during sunset and a sea side table.

Definitely room for improvement. Staff are very polite, but slow to serve. The food could take anywhere between 20 minutes to sometimes an hour depending on the time of day.

3 stars for the view. The drinks took quiet long to arrive since they apparently had too many cocktail orders. After a long wait, it arrived but even with so much practice, it was a glass of pure alcohol. The pizza similar, saw many ordering it so I had high expectation and saw a pizza oven, but the cheese used and the crust is something Dr. Oetker could compete with. The fajitas and wine were good though and as mentioned, the location is a beauty!

Very hit or miss. We visited multiple times during our trip, and half the time the service was fantastic, the other half of the time it was not. Yesterday for lunch we stopped in around 2pm and waited 26 minutes for a server to take our order, and that was only after another employee saw us and alerted her. Food was great though every time except for yesterday. Great location to watch the tarpon swim.

One of the best places to enjoy a beautiful sunset over Klein bonaire. A very chilled spot with good food and in my opinion the best cocktails of bonaire. Make sure you check out the spiced watermelon cocktail and do a refreshing dive from the pier. Staff is friendly and fast.

Update Dec 2021: Dropped 2 stars due to higher prices and lower quality of food preparation. The catch of the day was barracuda. Regretfully, the barracuda fillets were not much larger than sardines and were overcooked to being tough and dry.2019 review: Good food, friendly staff, reasonable prices and right on the Caribbean Sea! Outdoor seating with large canopy covers for shade and keeping off rain. Have been a regular for years.

We made reservations a couple of months ago and they where all ready for us! We where celebrating my son and daughter in laws anniversary and they really made it special!!!Then the menu was a all u can eat w lots of meat and three sauces at the end and oh my!!! Sooo yummy!!!TIP-- It was quite at 6 when we arrived but by 8 when we left u would have had to have reservations.

4 stars for the location. Nice at the water, in the evening with huge tarpons swimming nearby. We heard they have the best Italian style pizza on the island, but I hope we heard wrong. Not that good.

The pizza oven is amazing! But the lunch/dinner menu is too limited. I would like to see chicken tenders, soup of the day, or a chicken sandwich on the menu for simple eaters. The breakfast buffet was wonderful.

Nice place. The ambience is nice. It has bar at one side and restaurant at the other. Reservation is recommended otherwise you might not find a spot. If you are not guests of Captain Dons Habitat you need to park outside on the street, there is a security so no worries, you then walk to the place. They server great Cucumber Mojito and a lot of other signature drinks and cocktails. Food is delicious.. Nice place for a good night out

I went for fathersday. Once a month they have special 3 course menu. The rest of the month you can enjoy food from the cart. The place is nice and the view is relaxing. The service is great.

We weren't drinking but the bartender was pouring some pretty good looking drinks. We had some food which was actually pretty darn good. Pizza and Sticky Chicks. Those are chicken skewers. The portions size was a little small but the food and presentation were very good. Pizza is "cracker" crust. We never ran out of water and he was quick to ask if we needed another coke.

Rum runners great place to get pizza I always get the barbecue chicken pizza it’s Really good the crust is on the thin side that’s that’s how the pizza crust is so one person can eat a whole pizza and you wouldn’t be that full. Great place to hang out with friends or family have some pizza and some drinks to staff is great awesome bartenders make make good cocktails.

We were looking for a place to have lunch while we were exploring Bonaire and we saw their sign while cruising in our golf carts. Glad we stopped here. We couldn't have asked for a better place for lunch. The food we ordered was fabulous. Nothing over the top, just great tasting and a decent proportion. One thing to add is the views of the ocean here are perfect. Such a peaceful place to eat and enjoy a drink with friends. Good amount of normal car parking but might be a bit busier on the weekend. Don't bypass this place.

We live on Bonaire and Rum Runners is our go-to restaurant for ourselves and when we have visitors. We tell ourselves whenever we want to remember why we moved here, we eat at Rum Runners. It's directly on the ocean and every table has an ocean view.The food is terrific. Wide variety of dishes, and we think they do the best burgers on the island. You can also get fajitas, great pizza, steaks, chicken, fish and pasta. Prices are reasonable and the staff is terrific. Most of them have been there for years. We're there every Wednesday night, a standing date with our friends.They also do buffet nights, and Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners. There is a separate bar there and their gift shop stays open late. We think they have the best souvenirs on the island and frequently wander in there after dinner.During high season it's smart to make a reservation for dinner. At lunch you can just walk in.
